Hey FRIENDS and Community Members,

We are the brothers of the Omega Zeta chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc (at Duke University), coming together to support our dear friend Bro. Eldred Loftin (affectionally known as "Dirty Ron") as he's in a head to head battle with STAGE 3 PROSTATE CANCER.

If you know Ron, you know he’s tougher than a two-dollar steak, but even the strongest warriors need a hand sometimes!

Eldred’s life has been one hell of a ride. Growing up Black in the 60s, in rural North Carolina, he took on every challenge with a smile and a fierce determination. He graduated from Duke University in the late 70s and was one of the earliest members of the WINNING QZ (Omega Zeta) chapter, setting standards and *building bridges* that others continue to cross to this day.

Today Ron is 66 years of age and is the father of 2 loving daughters, Maya (special needs) and Ashley.

Ron has always been committed to SERVICE whether it be through his career as a lawyer or his mentorship and uplift in the community.

Now, Ron's facing a brutal battle with STAGE 3 PROSTATE CANCER. He’s already had a major surgery (May 30, 2024) to remove his prostate and lymph nodes, but the doctors couldn’t get it all. More treatment is on the horizon and the medical bills have been stacking up to now over $200K+.

Ron is in constant pain, unable to work, and is trying to maintain monthly living expenses (~$6K/month). Worst of all, Ron is the sole supporter of his special needs daughter, Maya, and she has an upcoming operation of her own that he must manage and pay for.

IT'S A LOT.

Bro Loftin has always been the rock for everyone else, never asking for help. But now, he needs us... his FRIENDS. For the brothers of Omega Psi Phi, we charge you to remember "what does it takes to be a friend?"

Our initial goal is to raise at least $75,000 to cover immediate financial needs and give Brother Loftin a fighting chance without the crushing financial stress.
