Brooke was struck by a drunk driver while returning home from work on the night of October 12, 2024. She is a divorced mother of three children and works hard to provide for her kids.

Everyone has been reaching out, asking if they can send DoorDash, cook meals, or offer financial support. We initially set up a Venmo account for friends and loved ones to contribute, but we’ve found that many people don’t use Venmo. All contributions that have already been made will be deposited into her GoFundMe. Right now, we’re managing to care for Brooke's children, but her recovery is going to be a long journey. She will be in the hospital for several weeks and has another surgery scheduled. After that, she’ll move to a rehabilitation facility before returning home. Doctors have informed us that she will be bedbound and unable to bear weight for 8-12 weeks. As a former server, Brooke’s income has been heavily reliant on her work. Currently, she’s unable to care for her children or herself, and it’s truly heartbreaking for her. This situation has deeply affected all of us. The love and support we’ve received mean so much; it has brought a wave of emotion and gratitude to our family during this challenging time. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has kept my sister in their thoughts and prayers, as well as those who have generously contributed financially. Brooke is finding it difficult to envision brighter days ahead, and some tough times are still ahead. -Acute fracture of the subtrochanteric left femur and proximal femoral shaft
-Multiple fractures of the right foot (lisfranc)
-Severe concussion with healing cognitive delays
