Hi, my name is Brooke & I am raising funds for myself I need the communities help with medical bills, surgical and self care costs & necessities.
i have severe chronic illness and am disabled and unable to work due to My disabilities, I have EDS, hEDS, Endometriosis, CFIDS, Chronic vestibular Migraine, Ankylosing Spondylitis, MCAS, POTS, PCOS, autoimmune disorders, and more among my diagnoses. I’m undergoing surgery and need your support
in April 2022, I underwent a very serious & strenuous surgery to repair a ruptured rotator cuff. That is still in recovery and I do not have full use or range of motion in my right arm still today in 2025
in September 2023, May 2024, and July 2024 I underwent 3 endometriosis excision and exploratory surgeries to remove ovarian cysts and adhesions as well as an emergent surgery after when my device got implanted into the wall of my uterus, and am still without proper pain management for endometriosis or my chronic conditions and have recurring ovarian cysts that risk ovarian torsion and require consistent monitoring as you can imagine.
I also underwent multiple oral and maxillofacial and dental surgeries with 2 major ones in october 2024 and one upcoming likely now delayed to october 2025 due to lack of funding these are major important surgeries with several month recoveries
I also have an upcoming surgery to repair the ruptured eardrum in my left ear that spontaneously ruptured last year after dual ear infections and i was left without access to proper care for months, despite urgent referral, and it did not heal in over a years time unfortunately. I also have hearing loss as a result, That is a major surgery and will require reconstruction due to the size. And it’s a long recovery
all of these need massive amounts of funding and support not just for the surgeries themselves but for the pre and post op care, transport, medications, medical supplies, basic care, in home care, meals, physical therapy and rehabilitation and beyond.
i will continue to need your help to access assistance for fully recovering from all of this & to have the right resources for future care as well as prepare for future surgeries.
it should be stressed that these are going to be more invasive surgeries so I need all the support I can get during my preparation, in-between & recovery post surgical care. I’m hoping to hire some in house help as well for the recovery period since I live alone and most of my family is no longer alive or is lives far away.
It's important to note that the recovery process is different for myself than most people due to chronic illnesses, especially EDS
