Help Brooke’s Battle with MS

It can be difficult and humbling to ask for help, but sometimes it is necessary to call on your village. I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Brooke Filkins. After many years of frustrating and painful health struggles and doctors treating symptoms instead of getting to the core issue, she was finally diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis last year. This is a life debilitating disease that makes it difficult for her to do simple tasks without assistance. Because of these physical changes, she has been unable to work for several years. Her husband Jim has worked his entire life and continues to do so, but the specialist copays, expensive tests, and medication costs have been extreme. She has been denied for disability assistance multiple times. She will continue applying for it, but there is a wait time of 60 days after each denial.
