Help Bruna fight Brain Cancer

Cancer sucks. It kills our dreams, it challenges our faith and it weakens our resolve.

But,

"cancer cannot cripple love, it cannot shatter hope, and it cannot conquer the spirit."

And cancer cannot stop God.

Everyday this family prays for a miracle, and I know that they are so grateful for the many miracles they have already witnessed along the way.

As they continue on this journey, they need help. The financial and emotional burden of this disease is enormous. Over the past several months Bruna's condition has worsened to the point that she requires a full-time in-home caregiver and this expense is just too much for them.

Bruna has had multiple brain surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy and many other medications and therapies but the cancer and treatments have left her unable to care for herself. Bruna has severe expressive aphasia (she cannot write or text, and she can only say a few words at a time). She cannot walk, shower, get dressed or use the bathroom by herself. In fact, she needs help to do all of the things that many of us take for granted every day.

Unfortunately, there is no treatment at this point. Bruna is at home, needing a miracle from God. In order to stay home with her family and three year old daughter, Faith, her family needs help to continue to pay for their in home caregiver, Amy.

Amy started off as just a caregiver but now Amy is one of Bruna's closest friends. We want to make sure that Bruna continues to have the best care and support she so desperately deserves.

Unfortunately, Bruna recently suffered a fall and fractured her back and her foot in multiple places. She is a fighter and is in good spirits, but she needs help now more than ever as she recovers.
