Help Bryan get back on his feet (literally!)
On Wednesday June 9th, my brother-in-law Bryan Haines woke up unable to walk. Ultimately, he had to undergo emergency surgery on his thoracic spine, involving several specialty surgery teams and lots of unknowns. The surgery was challenging and terrifying; the recovery is going to be long, arduous, and painful in many ways. At this point, it is unclear to what extent he will regain full function of both legs. Understandably, Candace and their two young children are feeling confused and worried and scared.
Bryan and Candace are the ones who quietly and anonymously do for others; never asking for thanks. They donate their time and abilities whenever they can. Now, it’s their time to be taken care of (and absolutely, they are both going to hate having to depend on others).
Please consider making a small donation to help the family off-set cost of travel (Candace drives 3.5 hours round-trip to visit Bryan; fuel, tolls, parking), lost wages, and extensive on-going medical costs.
