Help Bryan Harrison fight brain cancer
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
As some of you may know, our good mate Bryan Harrison and his family received some life-changing news a few short weeks ago.
Bryan was at work on Friday 21st April 2023, when he had a series of major seizures which resulted in him being rushed to ICU. There, tests discovered a lesion on his brain. Preliminary diagnoses determined the lesion was likely cancer, and it required immediate removal.
On Wednesday 26th April he had brain surgery to remove the lesion.
Having come through this major operation, he and his family had a nervous wait as the lesion was tested.
The following Monday doctors delivered the devastating news - the tumour was a glioblastoma. Glioblastoma is an aggressive and incurable form of brain cancer. On average, sufferers have a life expectancy of 12-24 months. Bryan has never been a fan of statistics and hopes to prove this number wrong, as do we all.
Since the diagnosis, Bryan has been unable to work or drive and Karlie has also had to stop work as Bryan prepares to embark on an intense course of radiotherapy for 5 days a week over a 6-week period. This will be followed up by further rounds of chemo and radiotherapy.
The road ahead for Bryan and Karlie and their two gorgeous young daughters Jazmin and Daisy will be hard, unpredictable, and costly.
Bryan was reluctant to endorse a fundraiser but if anyone is deserving of a hand in these unbelievably tough times, it's Bryan – the best mate, colleague, sibling, son.
Any money you can spare, whether it be $1 or $1000, will be used to support Bryan and his family to cover out-of-pocket medical expenses, daily living costs as both Bryan and Karlie are off work, and creating lasting memories with their girls by travelling around Australia.
Bryan intends to fight this the best he can, and it would be great if you can support him.
Please forward to anyone who might want to donate.
