Help Bryan keep insurance coverage - mental health

Hello everyone! I am reaching out and asking for help so we can keep Bryan covered through his insurance while he’s off of work. At this time we’re unsure when he will go back to work but is off through at least the end May.
Bryan is my husband and is currently going through intense inpatient and outpatient therapy over the next few months for his mental health that is preventing him from working. His treatments currently include:

- Therapy 3 times weekly with psychiatrist and psychologist
- Ketamine treatments
- Partial inpatient through hospital 9am-3pm M-F for at least 2 weeks
Why do we need help? Initially Bryan took 3 months off and he applied for short-term disability. Unfortunately that has been denied and we are working with his doctors to appeal. Apparently it’s common to be denied in the beginning. His FMLA has ran out at work and he is now in an LOA which will keep his job, but he loses his insurance. So now we need to decide whether to 1) add him to my insurance - $300/month plus a $3000 deductible or 2) pay his Cobra insurance which is $700/month. Although the 2nd option seems more, the number of appointments he has, smaller deductible, and authorizations through his current insurance is the best option.
Right now we are currently out his wages and will need to pay out of pocket for his premium. We just need some help while we navigate his appeal for long-term disability and process for getting him on SSI if it’s an option.
