Help Bryan Thayer & Family After Senseless Attack

On the morning of Saturday, May 8th, 2021, I received back to back phone calls from an unknown number. On the second call, I picked up, immediately greeted with a nightmare. "I'm with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office, there has been an incident and Bryan Thayer has been attacked. He is alive, but requires immediate medical care.....". Little did I know, that this was just the beginning of a very difficult new chapter.

Bryan recently bought, and opened his dream bar in 2020. He has been working 100+ hour weeks lately to keep it afloat. 

In the very early hours of Saturday, May 8th, Bryan closed his bar, and stopped at City Bar in Metairie, LA to say hello and support his friends bar on his way home when another man senselessly mauled Bryan--literally biting Bryans face, causing extensive and life-altering deforming injuries. Bryan was immediately rushed to UMC where he underwent emergency surgery to attempt to salvage, and reattach what remained of his nose. Three amazing trauma and plastic surgeons placed 45 stitches to try and save Bryan's nose. Now, we are in the day-to-day waiting period, praying for blood flow and for his body not to reject the reattachment.

As you can imagine, the physical trauma is severe..however, that doesn't even begin to describe the added emotional trauma and financial stresses Bryan faces. I am creating this fundraiser because Bryan needs help. Bryan is unable to work for the unforeseeable future, he now not only faces hundreds of thousands of dollars of medical bills from this last week, as well as the years of reconstructive surgeries to come, but also is faced with being unable to support his family or his business.. Our family needs help.
