Help Bryn see his son following cancer diagnosis

Bryn Williams, 55, of Capel Curig is one of our wonderful chefs at the Zip World Tyn-Y-Coed, who was sadly recently diagnosed with stage 4 tonsil/ throat cancer, which has now spread to his lungs.

Bryn's intention here is to raise awareness of this rare form of cancer, and to encourage others to always follow up with the doctor if something's not feeling right. We at Zip World/ Tyn-y-Coed would love to use this platform to help raise money for Bryn to go to Florida to see his 16-year-old son.

In November 2022, Bryn came down with a sore throat. It persisted for a while, so after multiple trips to the GP, he was eventually referred to the hospital for a biopsy. It was discovered that Bryn in fact had stage 4 tonsil cancer, a very rare form of cancer which will affect 1 in 60 males, and 1 in 140 females.

Bryn is now undergoing Chemo and Radiotherapy in the hopes to slow down the spread of the cancer, and is looking to visit his son in Florida by June. In his ill health, it's not possible for Bryn to work, so we're putting together a little fundraiser to help him get to his son.

We'd like to thank everyone in advance who donates, even if it's just a couple of pounds. Every little will help to get Bryn on that plane.
