Help Bucky get the vet care she needs!

Hello!

My name is Ivy, and I am seeking funds to help my best friend and feathered companion get the specialized vet care she needs!

Buckbeak Borbasaurus Rex (aka Bucky) is my pet giant runt pigeon. She is my ESA, and constant snuggly shadow full of sass and character. I don't know what I would do without her! She means the world to me!

During our trip to the vet last Friday, we discovered she has an upper respiratory infection!

Bucky received blood draws to test for psittacosis, mycoplasma, and other underlying conditions, along with oral antibiotics, and 2 intramuscular antibiotic injections in each pectoral muscle. She is currently on medications to treat her respiratory infection... test results won't be in for a couple of weeks.

However, during the wellness exam, the vet said it sounded like Bucky had a possible heart murmur!!! Large breeds of pigeons like Bucky can be predisposed to heart conditions. To know for certain, we need an avian cardiovascular specialist to come in and perform an echocardiogram, and radiograph.

ECGs are not commonly performed on birds, and are therefore expensive!!!! $$$$$$
