Help Buddhini and Lilah stay in Canada

This fundraiser is to support a family of two in staying in the country they call home. Many of you have had the pleasure of knowing Buddhini over her last 8 years in Canada. Buddhini came to Canada to attend Trent University and has developed roots and family here, especially when Lilah was born in 2019. Currently Buddhini is facing many immigration barriers, with most recently being denied a work visa meaning that her and Lilah are given a date in which they must leave the country. Going home is not an option for the family and they will face additional barriers if they did due to being a single mother led family.

Buddhini (and Lilah) are working tirelessly to find an avenue to stay in the country. This includes consulting lawyers and working toward another visa. This is all an extremely costly process, especially given the complexity of the situation. The biggest barrier is that Buddhini cannot legal work or access government financial support while awaiting the decision on her visa. I am asking for those who can to contribute in financially supporting the family in their journey. The funds will support with application and lawyer fees as well as the families cost of living for approximately 3 months.
