Dear Friends, my name is Fr Fred Jenga, I come from Uganda. I and some friends in Effingham County, IL, seek your support to build a Catholic Church in my village in Uganda. Our village is a rural subsistence farming community. According to the 2022 Annuario Pontifio (Pontifical Year Book) and the 2020 Annuarium Statisticum Ecclesiae (Statistical Year Book of the Church) compiled by the Vatican’s Central Office of Church Statistics, the Catholic Church is growing fastest on the continent of Africa. The Churches are full, the seminaries are full, and the convents are full! I am a fruit of this missionary effort over the years. This growth is both a blessing and a challenge. One challenge is the need for spacious, dignified, and safe worship spaces. Please contribute to the construction of St Atanansi (St Athanasius) Catholic Church in rural Uganda!
