Help build a handicap addition for Charlotte Grace
Donation protected
Charlotte Grace was born with several brain abnormalities, and has also been diagnosed with a rare type of epilepsy (Lennox Gastaut Syndrome), often enduring hundreds of seizures a day. She turned 3 years old on March 2nd but due to her extremely low muscle tone and seizures, she is unable to walk, talk, crawl, sit or stand. Her low muscle tone also affects her ability to swallow and cough so she has a feeding tube and is often hospitalized for pneumonia. In her short life she has already spent 26 weeks in the hospital.
The family includes her mother Mary (fulltime caregiver), her father Jason (fulltime military and war Veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan), 2 brothers- Connor 8, and Ethan 6, and a dog named Jack. Their current 2 story home with bedrooms located upstairs it is not handicap friendly. Bathing has become difficult due to her severe muscle weakness.
Their extended family has started a GoFundMe to build a first-floor addition that will include a large bedroom to accommodate a hospital bed, pediatric hydraulic lift, space for her medical equipment, a barrier free bathroom and laundry room.
Due to the complexity of her special health care needs she requires continuous primary care, so the home addition will include additional sleeping space for parents, or care-giver. They are also in need of a wheelchair accessible vehicle to transport her to numerous doctor appointments and special need therapies.
Your donation will change Charlotte’s life forever.
