Help build a library and ICT center in Ghana
Donation protected
This fundraiser is being organized by Little Tokens Foundation, a Ghanaian registered (Reg No: CG089412019) and Social Welfare Department certified Non-Profit organization that seeks to promote literacy and improve educational standards in underserved communities in Ghana.
In the first year of our child literacy advocacy, our organization helped improve our beneficiaries’ reading skills and general academic performance by 15.5%, thanks to our literacy program that has been affected by the current COVID-19 global pandemic.
We are poised to do more and ultimately exceed this mark, especially, in these times. We humbly ask for your financial support in our next project, which is to build a well-stocked library that will also double up as a computer lab/ICT (Information Communication Technology) center since many of the children in the Ada community do not have access to technology and are unable to continue their education online during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Funds from this fundraiser will be used for construction work, providing electricity and doing electrical work such as provision of lights, ceiling fans, painting of the facility, furniture, set up of a computer lab which will be powered by Tech Aide Ghana and will have a syllabus of Ghana Education Service; as well as other learning materials installed on them to operate without internet. The funds will also be used for the maintenance of the facility.
This 52 seater facility will serve students in the first school we have been working in which is Nuhalenya DA Primary School in Ada, Ghana and the children in the community as a whole. We are aware of the difficulty the whole world is experiencing at this time; nonetheless, the children we serve need your help.
Every token matters.
We hope to start the first phase of this project by early September 2020 and finish the entire project by January, 2021. The building plan, sketched by Ms. Maame Akua Tsetsewa Yawson (Msc. Architecture-KNUST,Gh) will be carried out by a registered construction company STAV Engineering & Construction Ghana with the support of community members.
