Help build a mosque in Somalia

My family and I have been in the works of building a mosque in a rural village in  Somalia. The project was initiated when we found out that this community has been praying outside. They are based in a mountain region which makes this area extremely difficult to navigate to; essentially they are cut off from any town or city. Unfortunately praying outside is no longer feasible with the recent extreme weather conditions.

Recently, when the world was banned from entering places of worship and forced to pray at home due to COVID, we all felt the longing need to visit our beloved Mosques and connecting with our Muslim communities. This is their reality day in and day out.


Alhamdulilah we know have the opportunity to provide the joy we experience when we pray in our local mosque.


We are aiming to organize a free of charge Islamic lecture through Zoom on July 26. However, we would appreciate all donations, small or large, through GoFundMe in order for the construction process to continue.
