Help Build a New School for Samalbung, Nepal
Donation protected
On the eastern border of Nepal, far from Mount Everest and other tourist destinations, is the small village of Samalbung. Several years ago, local teachers opened a barebones school for its children, who are mainly from indigenous groups and farming families.
As you can see in the photo, the school is in bad shape. Two former U.S. Peace Corps Volunteers, who are leading this fundraiser, are helping the community build a new one. They are personally paying for most of the construction but need your help to finish the job and buy things like desks and school supplies. One of Nepal’s leading human rights attorneys is assisting the project.
Your support will change the lives of the children you see here — and you can trust your money to be spent as intended. When the school is finished, hopefully within a year, it will highlight the names of everyone who helped. Dhanyabad — thank you! — for any amount you can contribute.
