Help build classrooms in rural Kenya

Hallo, mein Name ist Nils und ich war vor zwei Jahren in einem kleinen Ort in Kenia an der Ebenezer Academy und habe dort unter anderem bei der Renovierung des Schulgebäudes und der Gärten ausgeholfen. 

Nachdem bereits letztes Jahr unser Fundraiser total erfolgreich war, bei dem einige von Euch das ganze Schulprojekt und dessen Initiator Cosmus wortwörtlich am Leben gehalten habt (RIESEN DANKESCHÖN), freue ich mich nun Euch mitteilen zu können, dass es sowohl Cosmus als auch der Schule gut geht!

So gut sogar, dass Cosmus und einige andere Lehrer*Innen in einem benachbarten Ort, welcher bisher noch gar keinen Zugang zu Bildung hatte, Klassenzimmer bauen möchten, um auch dort regelmäßigen Unterricht anbieten zu können.

Mit dem Spendenüberschuss aus dem letztem Jahr konnte u.a. bisher schon das Fundament für 3 Klassenzimmer gebaut werden. Jetzt geht es darum die Gebäude schnellstmöglich für das kommende Schuljahr fertig zu stellen damit etwa 40-50 Kinder erstmalig Zugang zu regelmäßiger Bildung haben!

Dafür benötigen die Initiator*innen allerdings etwa 500-750 Euro. Das Geld wird für alles mögliche gebraucht! Vor allem aber für Abwasserrohre, Schultafeln, Wellblech und Wassertanks. 

Und jetzt kommt Ihr ins Spiel! Jeder gespendete Euro wird (abzüglich der Transaktionsgebühr) direkt, ohne Umwege nach Kenia kommen. Sollte der Zielbetrag erreicht werden, oder die Materialien weniger kosten als bisher einkalkuliert, werden damit andere Kosten, wie z.B. Mittagessen, Kleidung, Schulbücher und andere bildungsnahe Ressourcen gedeckt.

Ich stehe im engen Kontakt mit Cosmus und einem Volunteer vor Ort und weiß daher, dass das Spendengeld auch wirklich da ankommt wo es gebraucht wird.

Hello, my name is Nils and two years ago I was in a small town in Kenya at Ebenezer Academy where I helped out with the renovation of the school building and gardens, among other things. 

 After last year's totally successful fundraiser, in which some of you literally kept the whole school project and its initiator Cosmus alive (HUGE THANK YOU), I am now pleased to be able to tell you that both Cosmus and the school are doing well! So well, in fact, that Cosmus and some other teachers want to build classrooms in a neighboring village, which has not yet had any access to education, in order to be able to offer regular lessons there as well. With the surplus donations from last year, the foundations for 3 classrooms have already been built. 

The aim now is to complete the buildings as quickly as possible for the coming school year so that around 40-50 children have access to regular education for the first time! However, the initiators need around 500-750 euros for this. The money is needed for all kinds of things! But above all for sewage pipes, blackboards, corrugated iron and water tanks. 

 And now you come into play! Every euro donated (minus the transaction fee) will go directly to Kenya without any detours. If the target amount is reached, or the materials cost less than previously calculated, other costs such as lunches, clothing, school books and other education-related resources will be covered.

 I am in close contact with Cosmus and a volunteer on site and therefore know that the donations really go where they are needed.
