Help build a Well for the father of Khalid Moussa

Verily To Allah We Belong and To Allah We Shall Return,

Assalamun Alaikum to my dear brothers and sisters and to all those who read this,

With heavy hearts we mourn the passing of our dear uncle Mahmoud Moussa, (the father of our dear brother Khalid Mahmoud Moussa) who returned to meet his Lord. We Ask Allah to make him of the highest companions and grant him the highest of stations and to make his transition one of ease and happiness. 

Brother Mahmoud Moussa's battle with liver cancer came to an end in the last few hours of the blessed day of Friday. He had the honour of having his last words as "La ilaha ila Allah", and was sweating lightly on his forehead among other things, all symbols and signs of a good ending. We ask Allah the Almighty to forgive his shortcomings and make his illness as a means of cleansing and forgiveness.

During his battle with cancer, he underwent surgery to remove his gallbladder but unfortunately the cancer returned almost 12 months later. In December, he travelled to his hometown in Somalia with his wife, leaving behind his young family,  to try alternative methods of treatment using herbal and prophetic medicine to combat the disease.

Despite this, no one could have foreseen just how much the cancer had spread and unfortunately his time in this world had come to end. His children remain here in Australia and are genuinely devastated to hear the sad news. We Ask Allah the most Gracious to make it easy for them and grant them patience and ease their affairs. 

We as a community should do we whatever we can to support our dear brothers and sisters during their times of difficulty and inshallah Allah will support us all during our times of need. We wish to help the Moussa family build a well for their father as a means of Sadaqa Jariyah which is an endless charity for him and benefit for all those who use and drink from the well. 

We will continue to provide updates on the well and the process and anything extra will be given to the family of Mr Moussa to help them with bills, funeral, expenses etc. 

WE ASK ALLAH TO HAVE MERCY ON OUR DEAR FATHER,
TO FORGIVE HIS SINS AND ELEVATE HIM IN HIS RANKS,
MAKE HIS GRAVE WIDE AND FILL IT WITH LIGHT,
AND TO EXPAND IT AS FAR AS EAST AND WEST,
AND TO BE ADMITTED AMONGST HIS GRATEFUL SERVANTS.
