Help build Borehole water wells for Orphanages in Zimbabwe

Hello there, my name is Tinashe Maravanyika and I am trying to raise funds to drill and set up a borehole water well for St Joseph's House for Boys and Harare Children's Home - both are orphanages that I hold dear to my heart.

Being born in Africa in the early 1990's I was placed in St Joseph's House for Boys after losing my Mother to an illness. My father was not in my life so I was sent to the Orphanage. I stayed at St Joseph's for 6 years and during that time we were closely associated with the Harare Children's Home, often our two facilities would get together for various activities and teachings. These teachings and experiences helped mold me into the man that I am today, a very successful and contributing member of society. After migrating to Canada I developed a great appreciation for life and what it has to offer while maintaining my composure and remembering the hardships I faced in my life as a child. I want nothing more in life right now than to be able to give back to the places that took me in and show the young boys there that the potential for a great life is achievable regardless of what they are currently enduring.

The funds that I am hoping to raise will give us the opportunity to build a Borehole water well and pump set up for the two facilities. This will not only ensure that they have access to clean drinking water for the next 50-80 years, but it will give the children an opportunity to practice good hygiene and laundry for their clothes. Our donors will have the opportunity to see the construction of these borehole wells as well as the children it will be impacting as I plan on recording a miniature documentary on the building process.
