Help Build Bridges of Hope in Guatemala

Friends, family, and fellow community members:
I come before you today with a heart full of excitement and anticipation as I prepare for my upcoming journey (in September 2024) to Guatemala City. This trip holds a special place in my heart, as it marks my return after five long years. But this isn't just any trip—it's a mission, a mission of compassion, service, and solidarity to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
For one week, I, along with a dedicated team, will be heading to Guatemala City to engage in a crucial construction project for a local village in need. Our goal is to lend a helping hand, to build not just structures, but bridges of hope, love, and compassion for a community deserving of support.
Now, you might wonder why I'm here, asking for your support. The truth is, while our intentions are noble, the logistics of such a trip come with expenses. Airfare, lodging, food, and the necessary supplies for the construction project—all of these elements require financial resources.
But let me be clear: this isn't a money grab. Far from it. This is an opportunity—a sacred opportunity to be part of something greater than ourselves, to extend a helping hand to those in need, and to experience the profound joy that comes from serving others.
For financial transparency: airfare will cost approximately $600. The ministry work itself will cost $1,250. There will be a residual amount of $400 to cover processing costs and travel related expenses, including, but not limited to passport renewal, global entry application to make international travel more efficient, as well as travel meals, and other unforeseen expenses. The overall amount could fluctuate depending on airfare, as it appears to be significantly cheaper to fly in a couple days early and stay a day late. I have ZERO intentions of making this a glorified vacation mission trip. At the end of the day, I pray to be a good financial steward of the money God will entrust me with.
Together, we have the power to make a difference, to create positive change in the world, one brick at a time. So I humbly ask for your support, your prayers, and your encouragement as I embark on this journey of compassion and service.
Thank you for your generosity, your kindness, and your belief in the power of community. Together, let's make this trip to Guatemala City a beacon of hope, love, and solidarity for all those we encounter along the way.
Lastly, If anything is raised above beyond the targeted amount, it will be donated directly to the organization.
