Help Build Clean Water Taps in Afghanistan
Donation protected
The citizens of Afghanistan have been afflicted by a water crisis. More than 50% of Afghanistan’s residents do not have access to clean water, increasing the prevalence of water-borne diseases each day. With Afghanistan's poor healthcare infrastructure, the results of these contractions can be fatal. Unfortunately, many families have to travel long distances in an attempt to collect clean water for their basic necessities such as cooking, cleaning, and drinking. No family should have to bear the burden of not having access to clean water. The Afghan Students' Association at McMaster University seeks to alleviate the burden of many families in Afghanistan and needs your help to raise funds to provide families with access to clean water.
All of the money raised will be used towards building as many clean water taps as possible in the less fortunate villages of Afghanistan. These clean water taps range in price from $350-$400 CAD each and the remainder of the money will be donated to those in need. The proof of both the money transfer and building of the taps will be provided on our Instagram page @mcmasterasa.
