Help Build Hospice Homes for Senior and Sick Animals

I am Dr. Kimberly Atkinson and I am a Veterinarian.

I have been a doctor for almost 25 years and have worked in the US, Trinidad & Tobago, and Canada. Every time I put an animal to sleep unnecessarily it breaks off another piece of my heart. So now I have founded an organization with my husband, Keith, to save as many of them as I possibly can. We will never put an animal to sleep before they’re physically ready to say goodbye. I know I can’t save all of them, but I will do my damndest to save as many of them as I can.

The great news is we have a location! First major hurdle down as finding somewhere that would fit our needs, and that zoning wasn’t an issue proved to be a bigger challenge than we thought it would be. Now we need to build the housing units for all of the animals and get everything set up. We are working diligently and have personally contributed every penny we can and we will continue to, but all of the construction and supplies are estimated at well over $300,000. We need your help! Our Vision:

With your support, we will secure the lease for the land on Vancouver Island to build a sanctuary where each animal can receive individualized care, including medical attention from our in-house veterinarian, who will oversee their health and well-being. This sanctuary will be more than a home; it will be a peaceful retreat where animals can live out their lives in serenity and where the community can learn about the importance of caring for our elder companions.
