Help Build Madi Rose's Memorial Cottage

My daughter, Madi Rose, passed away in September, at 20-years-old. She was bright and bold yet fragile and delicate. There are so many items I am left with, that tell her story and define her rare beauty. To honor Madi, we will construct a small, rustic cottage with windows, a porch, and window flower boxes. We will furnish and decorate Madi’s cottage with her things, telling her beautiful and colorful life story through this memorial. Madi’s cottage will be nestled under the willow tree in our field of golden grass, with the beautiful mountains full of evergreen and aspen trees, singing and dancing in the backdrop. I’ve included a photo of where her cottage will sit on our property.

This memorial for Madi will be an expenditure of approximately $30,000. Any help creating this living testament to Madi’s beautiful soul, and the life she lived, will be used in the most respectful and loving way possible, as a forever memorial for my sweet Madi Rose.

I have posted a couple of designs that we have narrowed down for this perfect resting place for Madi’s sweet soul, honoring all that she was. She endeavored upon, and endured so much in her short 20 years, and I will not rest until the vision of this memorial, becomes a reality.

We found the cottage design from a custom, wood greenhouse company out of Norris, MT. We will replace the plexiglass roof, with a corrugated metal roof or asphalt shingles. We will insulate Madi’s cottage, and make it airtight, so that critters and our cold, wet winters remain outside where they belong. We will make the windows operable, however, so the wonderful mountain air will fill her cottage in the summers. We will create a grade level gravel or concrete pad, and place Madi’s cottage on a trailer (to appease county regulations for how many structures can be on a property).

Madi’s cabin will have a loft inside, where her bedding will be placed. She had the most vibrant, classy, and smart taste in her clothing and apartment furnishings.
