Help Build Nunnery & Retreat in Padum, Ladakh

Samadhi Centre Contemplative Practices would like to support Geshe-ma Rinchen Pal and her nun assoicates in their vision to construct a nunnery and retreat/meditation centre located in and around Padum village, Ladahk region, in North India
Geshe-ma is an ordained Buddhist nun in the Tibetan tradition and has been studying and training in Dharamsala, Northern India, for more than 30 years.
In 2016, Geshe-ma passed her final examinations along with 19 other nuns and they were conferred the title of 'Geshe-ma' and presented with the Geshe-ma degree; an equivalent to a Doctorate in Buddhist Philosophy.
In 2019, Geshe-ma visited Australia and shared her experience and great knowledge with others by giving secular Dharma discussions.
At present, Geshe-ma and her associates are in the planning stages of this project.
Money raised will go towards supporting Geshe-ma's vision to cover expenses including but not limited to the following:
1. Nunnery building construction with 10 - 15 accommodation rooms, classroom, kitchen and bathroom facilities.
2. Retreat/meditation centre for laypeople
3. Electricity & heating infrastructure
4. Driveway repair & maintenance
5. Nutrition & daily needs of the nuns
6. Medical care & treatment of the nuns
7. Temple construction & grounds maintenance
8. English & science education
9. Classroom resources
10. Transportation expenses
Samadhi Centre would like to co-ordinate with Gesha-ma's vision and organise discussions; give opportunity to raise money by purchasing handicrafts or by making a donation.
