Help build our Dance Studios

If you live in Cleveland or one of the surrounding suburbs, you probably have heard of Lakeshore Dance & Gymnastics.
Perhaps you know someone or maybe you have attended a class there yourself; they have been in business for 39 years. Like most small
businesses, they faced many challenges throughout 2020. Although they have persevered, they have not fully recovered.
In early 2020, Lakeshore lost their lease when the building they had been in for 20 years was sold. With so many clients and so few gyms
like theirs in the immediate area, the decision was made to find a new location and make the move. Finding a space large enough wouldn't
be difficult, but there would be building modifications that would have to take place.

Sally had just signed the lease on the new space when the COVID pandemic hit. As with all businesses, in March they were forced to close. The months that followed were frightening and they could not have stayed afloat without the assistance of grants and loans. They made
the move to their new location across the street and waited patiently to hear when they would be able to re-open and with what
restrictions. Remodeling plans for the new building had to be postponed for obvious financial reasons. Thankfully, they were able to
re-opened in August of 2020, however, only about 40 percent of the clientele returned.

Although business has improved overtime, the financial hit they took is still evident. Lakeshore still need to build 2 dance studios, as was
originally planned when they were forced to move. The cost of these dance studio is approximately 60K. This would cover building
materials, labor, sound proofing, electrical work, lighting, and building a second dance floor. As we all know the cost of materials has gone
up tremendously over the past 18 months....heck, the cost of EVERYTHING seems to have gone up since this pandemic started.
Owner, Sally DeAngelo, is asking for your help. A long standing member of our community who has loved watching the children grow up
here. Many of those children had their first jobs at Lakeshore as assistant coaches and instructors; some went on to study dance in college; some have received scholarships in gymnastics or cheer; some of our kids are third generation Lakeshore families. If you are able to help
any amount would be appreciated.
Any additional funds will toward our gymnastics equipment, in hopes of getting a pit.
Checks will also be accepted and can be made out directly to
Lakeshore Dance and Gymnastics and mailed to
