Ebube and Amaka's Story asking for a chance at a Brighter Future

Ebube and Amaka, two young girls born in Nigeria to a single, illiterate mother, have faced the stigma of being born out of wedlock. From a young age, they've endured homelessness and extreme poverty, moving between temporary shelters abandoned buildings, cramped rooms, and family housing.

With their mother struggling with mental health issues, the future looked bleak. But Educate an African Child (EAAC) stepped in, providing Ebube and Amaka with early childhood education at the Joseph and Agnes Foundation school. The girls are slowly reclaiming their innocence through learning and play, yet ongoing challenges remain. Family disruptions and Nigeria's crippling inflation force these families to choose between feeding their loved ones or sending their children to school.

EAAC is calling on your generosity to help provide a school bus, ensuring Ebube, Amaka, and other children in their situation can continue their education uninterrupted.

Support our school bus fundraiser by joining us on a 6km walk around Mile End and Victoria Park, getting sponsors or donating. No matter the amount, can transform the future for Ebube, Amaka and the others. We also accept donations of learning materials and clothing to help support the running of the school. We began this journey together in 2017 with your generous support, renovating the nursery section of our school Joseph and Agnes Educational and Foundation. Today, we humbly reach out to you again, seeking your assistance in our mission to extend our provision for those children moving into primary age.

About Our Cause:

We firmly believe that education is the beacon of hope for children from vulnerable families. In Nigeria, many young minds face the harsh reality of inadequate facilities. Our commitment is unwavering - we aim to transform their lives by having qualified teacher, good facilities/equipment and teaching/learning resources. We want to progress their education to primary and or secondary levels in partnership with other compassionate private institutions. In order to achieve this, we now need to: -

1. Renovate and expand our classroom space:

With your continued support, we aspire to take the next step by building a primary school alongside the nursery. This extension will not only provide a seamless educational journey for the children but also enhance the overall learning experience.

2. Buy a school - Breaking the Cycle of Poverty and Homelessness:
