Build a Outdoor Center for Women in Nepal

Namaste! I am Anu Shrestha from Nepal and I am building a Women Outdoor Education Center in Nepal to empower young women.

For 15 years I have been working in the outdoor business.  I started out as a cleaner in an outdoor camp and moved my way up and learned more and more. Today I am a rafting and trekking guide by profession.  I have been working in Japan for three seasons and two summers in Sweden (where I met my husband). 

By choosing this profession many doors have been opened for me as a woman - which would never be possible in Nepali society otherwise. In Nepal women, most young girls get married at a very young age and never earn their own money. 

My goal is to make more young women follow in my footsteps and if you can help me start an Outdoor Center for Women in Nepal we can change our society step by step. 

The first goal is to get funds to buy gear and start to practice basic skills with a few girls. 

In a few years, I hope to run a campsite with our team and sell trips to clients and use that profit to bring more and more students in.
