Help Build Rafikisana Primary School
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Emily Stevens and I’m raising funds for my good friends Joseph and Josephine Natai who founded Rafikisana orphanage and daycare. During the month of September I had the privilege of volunteering at their daycare and getting to witness the amazing, beautiful work that Joseph and Josephine have done. They put everything into caring for and educating the underprivileged/homeless children of Arusha, Tanzania to make sure they don’t end up on the streets. Starting with their own home, they have grown Rafikisana (which means Close Friends) into a daycare that teaches 114 and shelters 15 children (ages 0-5). Joseph and Josephine are dedicated to helping these innocent children. To help keep them off the streets after completing kindergarten, the founders have moved onto their next project; Rafikisana Primary School, which they are trying to complete by the start of the next school year (starting in January). In Tanzania, the public school system is underfunded and there simply are not enough schools and classrooms to handle the number of children of school age. Please help me to help fulfill their dream and give these children the education and future they deserve. The funds will go towards purchasing the windows and doors that are needed to close up the school, so that they can begin classes in January.
Any donation would be greatly appreciated! Generous donations of $180 will cover 1 door, and those of $150 will cover 1 window.
To close the entire school, a total of 31 doors and 40 windows are needed, coming to a total of $11,580.
