Help Bury My Loving Dad

Hi,

This past Saturday, 7/22, my father passed away. He had struggled with health issues for my whole life, that left him on disability and unable to work, totally supported by Social Security. Last week he unexpectedly had a heart attack, and subsequently passed away in the hospital two days later.

My father left no will and has no assets to his name. I'm the only child of my father, and there is no other family able to help with the burial. My father's mother, my grandma, is still alive, but is unable to live alone, and is at risk of being unable to pay rent also. My husband and I are looking to help find a facility for her, but in the meantime, we need to sort out everything in the apartment and make sure rent can be paid for her.

Between the funeral arrangements, the rent, and other miscellaneous expenses, my family is facing 13k+ in costs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
