It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Maria Teresa Beltran. We had planned on her being released to celebrate her 64th birthday on Monday, November 23 but sadly we find ourselves broken hearted. During the time she has been ill the medical bills have racked up and now with the funeral cost we didn’t expect. We want to honor her last wish but need the extra support to make this happen.
Maria Teresa or “Tere” as most people knew her as; worked as a Teamster cannery worker at Del Monte since the late 70’s and even stayed with them when they moved from her beloved home San Jose to Modesto. In San Jose she raised both her sons Jose Navarro and Ruben Navarro. Tere was a friendly and charismatic woman that was always there to help everyone she met. She loved music and dancing and was a hard and dedicated worker. She was a wonderful sister, mother, abue, aunt, wife and yes even ex-wife. She got along with everyone and was the original social butterfly in her family. Her sons and her grandchildren where her pride and joy. Although, she didn’t have any sisters her chosen family of sisters always surrounded her everywhere she went. Her last final requests where to make sure her granddaughter Delilah had her Quince ceremony and that once she passed to be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cementary back in San Jose.

Con gran pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de María Teresa Beltrán. Habíamos planeado que la liberaran para celebrar su 64 cumpleaños el lunes 23 de noviembre, pero lamentablemente nos sentimos destrozados. Durante el tiempo que ha estado enferma, las facturas médicas se han acumulado y ahora con el costo del funeral no esperábamos. Queremos honrar su último deseo, pero necesitamos apoyo adicional para que esto suceda.
María Teresa o “Tere” como la conocía la mayoría de la gente; Trabajó en la caneria manejando maquinas como Teamster en Del Monte desde finales de los 70 e incluso se quedó con ellos cuando se mudaron de su amada casa San José a Modesto. En San José crió a sus dos hijos, José Navarro y Rubén Navarro. Tere era una mujer amistosa y carismática que siempre estaba ahí para ayudar a todos los que conocía. Amaba la música y el baile y era una trabajadora ardua y dedicada. Era una hermana maravillosa, madre, abue, tía, esposa y sí, incluso ex esposa. Se llevaba bien con todos y era la mariposa social original de su familia. Sus hijos y nietos eran su orgullo y alegría. Aunque no tenía hermanas, su familia de hermanas elegida siempre la rodeaba dondequiera que iba. Sus últimas solicitudes finales eran para asegurarse de que su nieta Delilah tuviera la ceremonia de los Quince y que una vez que pasara la sepultaran en el Oak Hill Cementary en San José.
