Help Bury Vanessa

Mely Vanessa Tafoya Mendoza was 33-years-old when she tragically lost her life on March 2, 2022 to Domestic Violence . Vanessa lived in Imperial County, California and recently moved to Bayonne.

Vanessa worked for Imperial County Behavioral Health Services (ICBHS) as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician (case manager) in the Children Services Division for six (6) years. Vanessa was a passionate, loving, and motivating individual who deeply cared for the children, families, and LGBTQIA+ community she served, the victims of domestic violence she advocated for, and was always there for her colleagues and friends. Vanessa was a sweet and affectionate individual who was known for her compassionate heart. She had a passion for helping others and believed that there was good in everyone regardless of who they were.

 

Vanessa leaves behind two daughters

Alexa, 9 and Ari, 8. That both were both students in the BBOED school system. 

 

Family and friends are currently fundraising money and accepting donations to transport Vanessa home from New Jersey to California  for her services.
