Support for Buster’s Veterinary Care
This beautiful little frenchie, “Buster” was brought back from Florida in March 2024 as a 8 week old puppy (after the passing of our other pug Mikey who lived to be 14 years old) to accompany “Ziggy” the other pug and family & friends.
On July 20th, 2024 @ noon, at a block party in the Chicago Southside area, Buster was so excited that he stormed down the front stairs to all the commotion and tumbled (because frenchies are just so full of energy and “graceful”). Instantly he was screaming in pain and rushed to the vet right away.
He was X-rayed with a fully broken arm and put in a cast immediately, and returned to the block party, but missed out on all the fun.
In addition to his initial visit, his follow up surgery (a success) was on Tuesday, July 23rd where he needed to have 4 pins in his elbow with a scheduled follow up surgery.
Update: At the end of September, Buster had a 2nd follow up surgery to remove the pins and is now recovering successfully. Bills have already reached a total of over $8000+ so we ask that any help is much appreciated.
As many who have experienced this, understand that unforeseen medical bills are never easy, especially so early into Buster’s journey, not even reaching the age of 1 year yet. As of currently to date, medical bills are already up to $5200 and climbing with each visit back to the vet.
Please consider donating to ease the financial burden of Buster’s medical bills on his family and keep him in your thoughts/prayers for a successful recovery. Any help is appreciated. :)
We hope for Buster to get out of "doggy jail" soon and join us in all the family & friends activities to come.
Thank you!
