Please Help! New van needed for the Cultural Arts Coalition!
The Cultural Arts Coalition (CAC) was founded in 1979 to educate and empower the community through arts, culture, and social awareness.
Since 1990, CAC’s Environmental Ambassadors program has offered paid summer internships to high school students, teaching them job skills as they learn about conservation and protection of the environment. This year, CAC added a Environmental Ambassador Internship program, placing students in internship positions in sites such Community Weatherization Coalition, Repurpose Project, County’s Environmental Protection Department, Nicoya Farms, and the Florida Museum of Natural History.
Since 2010, the Cultural Arts Coalition’s Afterschool Science Club program in Gainesville, FL, has offered fun, hands-on science experiences to children. The program serves kids from Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Currently the big problem is getting the students to and from the program.…our van is no longer working! We’re raising funds to purchase a new van that will allow us to safely transport more children to our program.
Your support will help bring science to life for so many bright young minds. Whether you donate $5, $50, or $500, every contribution helps us get closer to our goal!
Thank you for making a difference in the lives of children who will become the next generation of environmentalists, scientists, and innovators.
