Help Caden get a service dog
Donation protected
I am trying to raise money to help with the cost of a service dog for my son Caden. On October 21, 2013 Caden started having grand mal seizures which have continued over the last 9 years. Along with many other seizure types that have developed and still no improvements with seizure medications. As of today we still have no answers to what has caused his seizures. Caden’s disability makes it hard for him to communicate with me about his seizures, so we’re left wondering when the next seizure will be.
This dog would be trained to not only be a constant companion to Caden, but also help him be more independent. It would also be trained to alert the family when Caden has a seizure, by pressing a button that sounds an alarm, and then returning to Caden to help move him onto his side and protect his head, or body from injury. In a lot of cases the dog can actually be scent trained to detect when Caden is about to have a seizure and to steer him away, or protect him from obstacles.
There are so many ways this dog would help my son!
Thank you on behalf of myself, Caden and our entire family.
