Help Caden Wallace Heal After Assault

My name is Jessilyn Wallace and I am setting up this GoFundMe for my stepson, my husband's second oldest son, Caden Wallace (24). Caden was recently the victim of a physical assault in Reno. He was beaten by 5 adults leaving him requiring emergency surgery to repair multiple breaks to his jaw and he is facing permanent nerve damage leaving his lower face and mouth numb to the touch.

Watching Caden go through jaw surgery has been extremely tough. His pain is unreal, and seeing him stress about everyday expenses hurts. He has come home to stay with Milt and me, and we are trying to get creative with different meals he can “try” to eat as well as doing what we can to help him thru the pain he’s battling. The following is his words.

“Hi, my name is Caden Wallace, and I’m reaching out for help after a traumatic experience. Recently, I was physically assaulted by 4-5 individuals, leaving me on all liquid based diet for the remainder of the year, as well as physical injuries (broken jaw) and potential nerve damage that could leave me with-no feeling on the bottom of my face for the rest of my life. These physical and emotional scars will take time to heal.

This incident has impacted my life significantly. I’m facing medical bills, therapy expenses, and lost wages as I recover. I never thought I would find myself in this situation, and it’s been quite overwhelming.

It’s hard to make a living and a challenge to make ends meet , especially as a 24 year old living on his own and making his own way in Reno. We will support Caden as best we can while dealing with everything else life has thrown our way. Any contribution to help Caden is a blessing and he will appreciate it more than you know.
