Help Caden with his Life Saving Surgery

Hello my name is Cari. My Godson Caden needs to get to Michigan for life saving heart surgery and I'm raising money to help get him there as fast as possible.

Caden was born with a rare form of heart disease and a faulty heart valve. It’s called Congenital Complete Heart Block with a bicuspid aortic valve. His mom Nicki has been my best friend since high school, and I have watched Nicki and her family take Caden across the country since he was two years old to get the treatments he has needed. When he was 11, Caden received his first pacemaker at MOTT Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan.

Caden was an active child after he received the pacemaker. He grew up, finished high school and is a student and Lacrosse player at Boise State. He coaches young players when not playing with his team. Because of the rare condition he was born with, Caden's doctors recommended him for Make-A-Wish and his wish was to fly fish Alaska. He recently took that once in a lifetime trip with his family and came home to the news they hoped they would never get.

Caden arrived home on a Sunday and on that Thursday his doctor called to tell them he that he was in heart failure and this surgery was even more complicated, risky, and needed to happen as soon as they could get there! Multiple chambers of Caden's heart need a pacemaker this time. He needs to get back to Michigan and undergo a very difficult surgery with multiple surgeons simultaneously, and as quickly as possible.

This very rare and very difficult surgery to install a new pacemaker with multiple leads to different the chambers in his heart will save his life. Unfortunately, the costs to travel and recuperate are beyond the means of the family and they need our help. This $75,000 goal will be a huge help and relief to the family in a time where they need to concentrate on Caden and not costs.
