Help Cafe Leep raise funds for a coffee machine

Donation protected

Hi there, my name is Angie and I am the manager of café Leep which is a community café where adults with learning disabilities work and are trained to NVQ standard in food safety. Café Leep opened in 2015 and was a very busy café until March 2020 but due to Covid-19 we have been closed for over a year. Café Leep is a non-profit organisation which means any money made is used to support our trainees to gain employment. We have recently employed 3 learning disabled adults to help run the café with funding we received from Unltd for 6 months. We reopened in April, but we have a problem our coffee machine has broken.

I am looking for donations for a new barista coffee machine as ours has broken and unfortunately unable to be fixed.

Part of the essential training is learning to use a barista machine and helps them to gain employment as well as providing Café Leep with a source of income. Café Leep wants to change people’s perceptions of adults with learning disabilities and see their abilities and Not disabilities by helping our trainees gain qualifications and employment. We also want to get our popular cooking groups back up and running as these groups help members become more independent whilst gaining friendships and having fun. So any funds left after purchasing a coffee machine will be spent on new cooking equipment and keeping café Leep going.
