Cafe Patogh is a community center standing in solidarity with Iranian homeless and refugee populations in Greece managed and run by refugees.
This center has provided warm food, clothing, classes, and other resources of a community center numerous refugees daily. They often also provide refuge for those in severe need. The international media has acknowledged the deplorable conditions of Iranian refugees, the role of Café Patogh has become even more imperative. A safe haven for the forgotten constituents such as battered women, single mothers, and emotionally estranged refugees; Patogh has its doors open seven days a week to people of all backgrounds. The clients are able to rest, receive food, wash clothes, take a shower, use computers, and engage in learning.
Patogh is a grassroots project. They receive their support mainly from the engaged individuals and volunteers. That is why we need you to keep this center alive together so we can make a difference.
This fundraiser is being run by Persian American Women’s Conference (PAWC) to support Cafe Patogh and all donations will be given directly to the Cafe.
