Help Cailin Play for Team USA!

Hi everyone!
For those that don't know me, Australian Rules Football has become a huge part of my life. I was introduced to the sport while in graduate school in Baltimore, MD. It not only gave me an outlet for the stress and frustration associated with all PhD programs, but has introduced me to some of the most amazing people. I have since played for the Baltimore Washington Lady Eagles and now for the Boston Lady Demons, where I have served as a womens representative on the board for two years and now the club President.
For several years now, it has been my dream to play for the USA National Team. In 2015, I played for the USA Liberty, the developmental womens team in the Parallel Cup against Canada. This experience further solidified my desire to play for my country, particularly in the International Cup in Australia in 2017.

It was my goal to train hard and use the expertise of Jessica Wuetschner (Woosha), a visiting Australian footy player aiming to develop the womens league in the US, to increase my skills to make the USA Freedom, the "A" team. Unfortunately, shortly after Woosha arrived, I tore my ACL in a tournament in NY which effectively ended my training plan. Over the last year, I had surgery and underwent a lot of physical therapy in order to be able to play at Nationals in October, less than a year post-op. At Nationals, it was announced that I made the USA Liberty (developmental) team for the IC2017.

Being able to play for my country in Australia is a dream come true. Unfortunately, due to my previous medical bills from physical therapy and surgery, along with being a Harvard postdoc, it has been difficult to save money for this. Thus, I am looking for a little financial help. Anyone that knows me knows that I am very independent and absolutely hate asking for money. However, I would greatly appreciate any and all help that could be given to make my dream, and a trip of a lifetime, come true.
The trip overall will cost roughly $5,000 but I am looking to raise at least $3,000. All donations will go to flights, accomodations, food and other expenses associated with the tournament. Any donation I receive will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your help!
