Help CAIRO Academy Family after Shooting

This past weekend, a CAIRO Academy student & their family were attacked and shot in their car. The student's mother was killed, while our student, their younger sibling, and father were all injured and hospitalized. The father is in critical condition. 

 

Our CAIRO Academy student is kind, respectful, and is one of the sweetest kids in our program. When he comes into the classroom, he may be quiet at first but his smile brightens up our room. His family has always been amazing at communicating with the teachers and staff if he is sick, going to be absent, or who's picking and dropping him off for the day. The mother always made sure we knew any information about her son that she thought was important. She was sweet just like her son, cared so much about his education, and was always understanding. She was a lovable person and amazing mother. 

Both parents are such a big part of our student’s life and made an effort, always, to be involved to ensure their kid had a good experience in our preschool.
