Help Build Caledonia Street Dining

Please lend your financial support to help Caledonia Street restaurants build an outdoor dining space.
Caledonia Street restaurants, Osteria Divino, F3/Fast Food Francais, Sartaj and San Drino are asking for financial support to create an outdoor dining destination for the community of Sausalito.
The City of Sausalito has generously offered to pilot a block closure on Caledonia Street between Johnson and Pine to allow for outdoor dining. However the restaurants on the block are solely responsible for the cost.
Restaurants have been hit extremely hard by COVID-19. And while we are extremely grateful to the support we have all received from the Sausalito community during this trying time, we need your financial help to make this outdoor dining/block closure a reality.
The block closure would create a destination for locals to utilize for outdoor dining and as an open space. In addition to outdoor dining, we envision it as a space for kids to bike/scooter, for locals to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine and an opportunity to draw attention towards the wonderful retail Caledonia Street has to offer.
The funds raised would be divided between the 4 restaurants and would be used to purchase the following:
-Tables and chairs to provide a cohesive aesthetic.
-Planter boxes to be used as dividers between the restaurants (as required by the Dept of Alcoholic Beverages Control)
-Plants, trees and flowers to greenify/beautify the block (as many as possible!)
- Building a platform over the parking spaces in front of the restaurants (a parklet) to create a level area for dining (due to the slope of the street- its very difficult to put tables there now)
-Lighting over the space (permit dependent)
- Benches for the public to sit and enjoy the block (funds permitting)
Caledonia Street is the heart and soul of Sausalito. With this addition, the community has a chance to come together to not only support 4 struggling local restaurants but to give back to Sausalito by creating an open space for the entire community to enjoy.
