Help Cam get to SVP
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Cameron Muskelly. I am a 25-year-old African American and Autistic self-taught paleontologist located in metro Atlanta, Georgia where I volunteer a lot of my time as a science communicator and study the paleontology and geology of the southern US. I started in paleontology like a lot of kids, with a childhood fascination with dinosaurs. I have since expanded my horizon and I now mostly work on other types of organisms within the fossil record.
The Society of Vertebrate Paleontology holds conferences every year. This is where many undergraduate and graduate students present thier newest research in the form of a poster. I have always wanted to attend the annual SVP conference since I was a teenager but, It has always been expensive and far away from home. This year it will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio which is close enough for me to attend but still pricey. Being able to attend these meetings like this is crucial for networking for someone like me, who is still trying to break into this field of science.
This fundraiser will cover food, traveling expenses, and fieldwork. Traveling to Cincinnati will also allow me to collect Upper Ordovician fossils from the world-famous Cincinnatian Series. Your donations will help this young scientist pay for this important scientific conference and help connect with colleagues.
