Help Cambrey's Family Heal and Rebuild

Cambrey is a single mother to four young children, facing a challenging time after the recent passing of her ex-husband from cirrhosis of the liver due to alcohol dependence. Tragically, through the alienation of her ex-husband's family, the children never even had a chance to say goodbye and were not even invited to attend funeral services adding to their emotional struggle.

Cambrey and Joe were married just shy of 18 years and divorced officially only four months ago. Substance dependence fractures families and sadly Joe passed away from his disease before he had the chance to live a life of recovery or make amends with Cambrey and his children.

Despite the difficulties, it is important for Cambrey that the children remember all of his good qualities and the good times they had together. This is a crucial part of their healing process through therapy and ensuring they have strong support systems moving forward.

The past couple of years have been tumultuous for this family. Although Joe was ordered to pay child support and medical expenses; his disease prevented him from making good choices and putting his children first. In order to survive, Cambrey and her children had to leave most of their belongings and fit what they could in their truck and relocate to Texas in order to get her family support.

Cambrey is doing her best to hold things together, but the children are grappling with the trauma of their father's substance dependence and the difficult circumstances of their estrangement.

This family urgently needs your help. It will take several months for Social Security to step in, and there are current challenges with IRS matters due to Joe claiming the children when he was not supposed to. Additionally, Cambrey has not received child support in over two years and Joe never reimbursed her for any of the medical expenses. Their family home is currently for sale " as is" hoping to sell before a fore closure takes place.

The funds raised will be used to help get this family back on their feet while they wait for the sale of their house. Without insurance, Cambrey is paying out-of-pocket for the children's therapy, a necessary expense to help them heal and cope. Rent and bills are continuing to sky rocket.
