Help Cameron attend the 25th World Scout Jamboree

Hi, I'm Cameron Anderson, I am 17 years old, and I have been selected to be part of the International Service Team (IST) at the 25th World Scout Jamboree in South Korea. The event will take place in August 2023 and will run for 12 days.

 

I applied for the IST back in September 2021 and was selected from thousands of applicants from across Britain to be part of the UK Contingent. To achieve this I need to raise a massive £3000 I would be grateful for any support you can give.

 

The World Scout Jamboree is held every four years, in different countries around the world. The 2023 Jamboree will be held in Saemangeum in South Korea and will be attended by over 40,000 Scouts (aged 14-17) from all around the globe. My role as part of the IST could range from running parts of the programme to working on logistics, really any job that allows the Jamboree to take place.

 

I will be one of the youngest IST members attending the Jamboree. I am extremely excited to be part of such a life-changing event and I can't wait to see what sort of challenges and new experiences that this adventure will hold.

 

I have been a part of scouting since I was 6 years old when I became a Beaver then moved on to Cubs, Scouts, Explorers and now I am a Young Leader; helping to teach Cubs a variety of new skills.

 

To raise the £3000 needed for the event, I have some awesome fundraising events planned such as a quiz night, ceilidh, and a duck race to name a few. The money will be used for accommodation, food, and the flights to get to Korea.

 

After the event I am looking forward to sharing my personal story with the people in my local Scout Troop to hopefully encourage them to take part in a Jamboree in the future and show them what amazing opportunities it holds.

 

Any and all donations are greatly appreciated, no matter how small as this will help to fund the adventure of a lifetime.
