Help Camila Save Puerto Rico's Stray Animals

Hi everyone, my name is Camila Martinez. I am 21 years old and just moved to Puerto Rico for college. Although I am in school, I plan on using my free time to make a difference here on the island. I have a huge heart, especially when it

comes to animals! I even have a 9-month-old Pitbull who I saved while I lived in Pennsylvania (picture above), as well as 7 cats that are strays that my family and I feed and try to take care of in PR (cats pictured above).

That being said, if you aren’t aware, here in Puerto Rico there is a MASSIVE amount of stray dogs and cats on the island. It truly breaks my heart seeing so many of these animals suffering. Lots of these animals roam around the island without any shots, leading to them contracting various diseases. These diseases go untreated; therefore, the animal is left suffering. For the animals that luckily don’t get sick, they sadly often lack proper nutrients and/or are dehydrated due to the very hot temperatures on the island and the lack of food they get.

My plan is to raise money by any means possible so I can help as many animals as I can. With everyone's help, I think we can truly make a huge difference. I plan on using all donations for these animals to get fixed properly and get shots, food, water, and anything else they might need. I will be documenting my entire experience with everyone on all social media platforms so everyone can join me on this journey. Every single penny helps these animals. This change is NEEDED! They do not deserve these conditions; let’s fix it! Thank you, everyone ❤️

Hola a todos, me llamo Camila Martínez. Tengo 21 años y acabo de mudarme a Puerto Rico para la universidad. Aunque estoy en la escuela, pienso usar mi tiempo libre para hacer una diferencia aquí en la isla. ¡Tengo un corazón gigante, sobre todo cuando se trata de animales! Tengo un Pitbull de 9 meses que salvé cuando vivía en Pennsylvania (foto arriba), además de 7 gatos callejeros que mi familia y yo alimentamos y cuidamos aquí en PR (gatos en la foto). Dicho esto, si no lo saben, aquí en Puerto Rico hay una CANTIDAD ENORME de perros y gatos callejeros. Me rompe el corazón ver tanto sufrimiento en estos animales. Muchos de ellos andan por la isla sin vacunas, lo que los expone a varias enfermedades. Esas enfermedades no reciben tratamiento, y el animal queda sufriendo. Para los que tienen suerte y no se enferman, desgraciadamente a menudo les falta la nutrición adecuada y/o están deshidratados por el calor intenso y la falta de comida. Mi plan es recoger dinero como sea para ayudar a tantos animales como pueda. Con la ayuda de todos, creo que realmente podemos hacer una gran diferencia. Planeo usar todas las donaciones para que estos animales sean arreglados, vacunados, y reciban comida, agua y lo que necesiten. Estaré documentando toda mi experiencia en todas las redes sociales para que todos puedan acompañarme en este viaje. Cada centavo cuenta para ayudar a estos animales. ¡Este cambio es NECESARIO!
