Help Candice Fight Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia

Hello! My name is Alison Reed and I am fundraising for my friend and colleague, Candice (Snyder) Goyette and her family. Candice was recently diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia. On Sunday, April 16, 2023, Candice drove herself to the emergency room because she was experiencing unexplained bruising. She was kept overnight and on Monday, bone marrow biopsies were conducted. By Monday night, she had her diagnosis. Tuesday morning, she was transported to Boston where she will receive treatments. Candice is expected to be in Boston for at least 3-6 weeks, depending on the response to treatment. Once her condition is stabilized, she will return home, continuing to receive treatment in Maine.

Candice and her husband, Jesse, have two little boys, ages 2.5 and almost seven months. This fundraiser is to help ease the burden of Candice's lost wages and Jesse having to cut back on hours to coincide with daycare. Jesse will hopefully be traveling to Boston to be with Candice, whenever possible, and these funds will assist with travel expenses and accommodations. The remaining funds will also be used towards any medical expenses that may occur outside of insurance coverage and for ongoing daycare and private childcare to help with weekends and evenings.
