Capital Checkers & Chess is on the move! After four years in Adams Morgan, our current landlord is selling the property and our lease will not be renewed.

CC&C has been a cultural institution in Washington DC for over 40 years. With recent momentum behind our chess members and tournaments, we hope to remain in DC for another 40.

Your financial support will enable CC&C to build necessary reserves to sign a commercial lease in Washington DC. We will continue to host weekly tournaments and provide a safe community space where all are welcome to enjoy checkers and chess.
