Hey Bun Friends! Captain Carrotpants, the first task-trained Service Rabbit, needs your help with his vet bills. He now has severe head tilt, and his disabled hoom is making sure he gets the best treatment. Pants has had a CT scan, a sedated tooth trim, is on multiple meds, and will need further diagnostics and treatment. This week he had a seizure that is puzzling the vets.
Despite his own disability, this little red rabbit continues to perform his service task as best he can. He gives his hoom medication reminders and does anxiety compressions on command.
He needs special supports, such as a sturdy, low entry litter box, soft mats and towels. Pants is going through a massive amount of towels as he is starting to avoid his litter box. He is hoping for bunny physiotherapy.
His hoom is low income due to her own very painful physical disability. However, she is in third year university, with Pants' help to achieve her goals. Thank you so much!
Pants' story: He was rescued from the street in 2014. He was emaciated and badly wounded, a terrified little furball. His hoom spared no effort or expense to rehab him, and realized his "aggressive" tendencies and passion for kale made him a good candidate for her disability needs. For example, he throws toys at her until she takes her meds. If half an hour goes by and she is being lazy, he gives her a nip! Last year, Pants' dedication to easing her anxiety helped her through a major, Long COVID surgery. He pressed himself against her as nurses treated her painful wound, not flinching when she cried or scary medical materials were opened. At first, he performed for kale. Now, it's clear he takes his job very seriously. Please help him with his medical needs.
