Help Cara Kick Cancer
Donation protected
As some of you may know, our dear friend, Cara Gantner, was recently diagnosed with invasive ductal breast cancer. After Cara’s mammogram, it was determined she has two masses in her breast, both of which are cancerous. Cara had two lymph nodes removed during her biopsy, both also tested positive for cancer. She was told that her cancer is Stage 3. Cara had her chemo port put in on Wednesday, March 24th and will begin six months of chemo treatments to shrink the tumors starting Monday, March 29th. After her chemo treatments, Cara will have a double mastectomy and will likely require radiation treatments.
Cara is a single mother with a 5-year-old son, Chase. Cara’s occupation is that of a certified massage therapist, one highly reliant on physical upper body strength and dexterity. Cara is hopeful to continue working while receiving chemo treatments. Following her post-operative, double mastectomy, her career will be forced into an extended delay. Without her income source, there will be the struggles of a day-to-day life expenses.
Cara has insurance coverage with a very high deductible and thousands of dollars to pay before insurance coverage begins. Stress is high, funds are very low, and mounting medical bills are unimaginable. Medical experts will be the first to speak to the detrimental effects that stress can have on cancer patients. We implore your financial support for our dear friend, Cara, and help bring relief in her long road to recovery.
Cara is frightened, in shock, but is determined to be a survivor in her fight with this terrible disease. We are asking for your assistance. Please consider donating anything you can, it will be greatly appreciated.
As always, your prayers are welcome as well.
Thank you for your support,
